For tequila lovers, there are a lot of ways to get to the bottom of that tequila bottle! Two of the most popular ways, aside from doing shooters, is to make tequila sunrises and margaritas. Here are some simple recipes to get your party on. Cheers!
The tequila sunrise was invented in the party happy 1970s. It is colorful and a fun cocktail to get the party going. It is very simple to make.
Tequila Sunrise Recipe
1-1/2 ounces Tequila
¾ cup Orange Juice
¾ ounce Grenadine
Put ice cubes in the glass. Pour in the tequila and orange juice. The tricky part is to get the grenadine into the glass without mixing it with the orange juice. Work slowly pouring the slow stream of grenadine over the back of the spoon so that the grenadine goes along the side of the glass. It should settle on the bottom of the drink. Garnish the glass with a maraschino cherry and a small slice of orange.
The best margarita is made from scratch. Never use a bottled mix! You’ll need a blender for this salty favorite.
1-1/2 ounces of Tequila
½ ounce of Triple Sec
1 ounce of freshly squeezed Lime Juice
The very first step is to wet the rim of the glass and stick it in salt to salt the rim.
Pour the tequila, triple sec and lime juice into a martini shaker along with a scoop of ice cubes. Shake well then strain the margarita into the salted rim glass.
Garnish the rim with a fresh lime wedge.
