Guacamole is not only very good for you, it tastes incredibly good! Here is a fast and easy recipe for guacamole that you can just whip up when you need it. You will never buy guac again!

Guacamole

Homemade guacamole is the best! It is all natural ingredients. It doesn’t keep well, so make it when you need it that day.

Guacamole Recipe

Items you need to have on hand:

2 Ripe Avocados – they will be soft and slightly squishy
1 Fresh Lime
½ Teaspoon of Salt
½ Clove of Fresh Garlic, minced

Cut the guacamole in half and remove the pit. Scoop out avocado with a spoon and drop it into a bowl.
Cut the lime in half and juice it with a reamer or squeeze really, really hard.
Add salt.
Add the minced fresh garlic.

Mash it all together with a potato masher – you know that thing you make mashed potatoes with. When it is mush, stir it a little to make sure it is well mixed.

Additional Optional Ingredients:
1 Small Ripe Tomato, diced
2 Tablespoons of your Favorite Salsa
2 Slices of a Fresh Jalapeno, diced

Stir in any of those ingredients that you like. Serve in a small bowl. If you have extra guacamole then store it in the smallest bowl you have and fill it to the brim, put an air tight cap on it. This will slow down the oxidation and keep it greener longer. But you will get only a day out of it before it browns.

Guacamole is best made fresh, just before you’ll be eating it. It is a wonderful condiment for tacos and is the best corn chip dip! The best part is, every ingredient is important for your good health.
